How much is postage & packing?
For UK customers postage is as follows:
Up to £10
First Class (uninsured) up to 250g
£1.20
£10.01 to £36
First Class Recorded Delivery (uninsured) up to 250g
£2.20
£36.01 to £500
Special Delivery (insured up to £500) up to 100g
£4.60
For uninsured items I always obtain a certificate of posting for all orders which may be used to claim any compensation from the post office up to a value of £36. However jewellery and precious metals are excluded by the post office for compensation unless they are sent by Special Delivery. You may wish to consider having your item (valued under £36) sent by Special Delivery if you are concerned about it getting lost in the postal system, email me if you wish to do this.
For International customers Airmail will be at cost dependent on the weight of the package. I will always get a certificate of posting. If however you want to insure your item this can be arranged. In either case you will need to email me so that I can advise you of prices and if you wish to purchase the item I will remove it from the shopping cart.
If you are unhappy with your item you may return it to me in it's original condition within 10 days and I will give a full refund (less postage unless it is a faulty item). You must obtain a certificate of posting which is free from the post office or send it by Special Delivery if the item is valued over £36. I am unable to offer a refund for items I have not received. Please contact me if you wish to do this. I cannot accept returned earrings for hygiene reasons unless they are faulty.
How do I pay for my items?Payment should be quick and easy via Paypal's secure server, you do not need a Paypal account and it is free. You will be given a choice of payment by credit/debit card or by using your own Paypal account. I do not have any access to your card details. Prices are in Sterling and if you are not a UK customer your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. I also accept personal cheques and postal orders from UK customers although items will not be despatched until the payment has been received. Please email me if you want to pay by cheque or postal order so that I can remove the item from the shopping cart. If payment is not received within 10 days I will relist the item.
Please note that my shopping cart does not operate a stock control system so it may be possible that two people try to purchase the same item on the same day before I have updated the shopping cart as sold. I will operate on a first come first served basis (by using the time of your Paypal payment) so if this does happen I will notify and refund you within 48 hours. I check and update my website regularly so there is only a small possibility of this happening. You may email me to check availability if you wish and I can send you a Paypal invoice.
How quickly are orders processed?
Most items will be sent to you within 2 working days, however when I have busy periods, am on holiday or if I'm making your item to order it may take longer.
Glass Bead Information
My beads are made on either a 1.6mm or 2.4mm mandrel unless otherwise stated. The colour of the glass beads may look different on some display monitors. No two beads will ever be exactly the same size due to the handmade nature of glass beads. Sizes stated are approximate but are a good guide. All of my glass beads are kiln annealed for strength and durability and if treated with care will last for many years to come. I carefully clean the bead holes and inspect each bead as it comes out of the kiln. Problems are rare, however if one does arise please do not hesitate to contact me. Please keep any loose beads away from small children.
